On July 26th, Lu Jie, Chairman and President of the Group, held talks with Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication of Pakistan, in Shanghai. The two sides exchanged views on advancing relevant cooperation in the field of communication infrastructure in Pakistan. Mr. Sheikh Zahid Ahmad Khan, Consul General of Pakistan in Shanghai, together with Hu Longke, Vice President of the Group, President of the International Company and General Manager of the International Department, and Feng Kan, General Manager of Regional Markets of the International Department, attended the talks.

During the talks, both sides watched the promotional video of Guodong Group and had friendly exchanges on the development status, situation, policies and future opportunities of Pakistan's communication industry. General Manager Feng focused on introducing the company's business scale, development strategy and the progress of business promotion in entering overseas markets. Ms. Khawaja highly appreciated the achievements made by Guodong. She noted that the China-Pakistan "all-weather strategic cooperative partnership" has lasted for more than 70 years, and warmly welcomed Guodong to actively participate in the construction of Pakistan's communication infrastructure, jointly build the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, and invited Chairman Lu Jie and his delegation to visit Pakistan for on-the-spot inspection and exchanges to jointly promote friendly cooperation. Chairman Lu Jie stated that he hoped both sides would further deepen exchanges and communication, strive to achieve cooperation at an early date, and contribute Guodong's strength to continuously consolidating the all-weather strategic cooperative partnership, assisting the development of local communication undertakings, and creating a new prospect of China-Pakistan friendship.
