Release date:2026/07/18
On July 16, the Kazakhstan-China High-Tech Enterprises Roundtable was held at The Peninsula Shanghai. As an invited enterprise, Guodong Group attended the meeting and signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Kazakhstan's TransTeleCom Company in the presence of the Head of State of Kazakhstan.
This roundtable is one of the key events during President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's state visit to China and his attendance at the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference & High-Level Meeting on Global AI Governance. Chaired by the Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the gathering brought together senior Kazakh government officials and heads of relevant Chinese government authorities. President Tokayev delivered an important address, while Mr. Li Lecheng, Minister of Industry and Information Technology of China, attended and delivered remarks. President Tokayev also met with representatives of Chinese enterprises including Huawei, Xiaomi and Guodong, and posed for a group photo with the attending business delegates.

Over 70 commercial documents were signed at the meeting, with a total value exceeding USD 15 billion, covering artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, transportation and logistics, new energy and other sectors. President Tokayev noted that bilateral trade between the two countries reached USD 49 billion in 2025, and China's cumulative investment in Kazakhstan has surpassed USD 30 billion. He emphasized that Kazakhstan and China are jointly entering a new "Golden Thirty Years," and that Kazakhstan will continue to improve its business environment to provide all-round support for Chinese enterprises investing in the country.

Guodong Group Signs Strategic Cooperation Agreement with TransTeleCom

Mr. Lu Jie, Chairman and President of Guodong Group, attended the meeting as a representative of Chinese high-tech enterprises. Witnessed by President Tokayev and other senior officials from both countries, he completed the on-site signing with TransTeleCom Company. This project was listed as the 13th signing achievement in the official press release of the Presidential Administration of Kazakhstan. Going forward, Guodong Group will cooperate with TransTeleCom to invest in and build communication infrastructure along Kazakhstan's major railways and highways, supporting the country in achieving the strategic goal of "Digital Kazakhstan."

This signing project is one of Guodong Group's series of cooperation initiatives in Kazakhstan. It marks the first time a leading private communication infrastructure enterprise from China has participated in the construction of backbone communication networks in a Central Asian country, serving as a vivid example of China and Kazakhstan advancing infrastructure connectivity under the Belt and Road Initiative and building a China-Kazakhstan Community with a Shared Future.

At present, Guodong Group has established a systematic cooperation matrix in Kazakhstan. The successful implementation of the Group's series of projects in the country signifies that Guodong has become Kazakhstan's preferred private-sector partner in the field of digital infrastructure.

Chairman Lu Jie Poses for Group Photo with Leaders of Both Countries and Other Enterprise Representatives

During the meeting, Chairman Lu Jie joined the group photo session with the leaders of both countries. After the meeting, he also held separate meetings with senior Kazakh officials, conducting in-depth exchanges on further expanding investment and construction in communication infrastructure and digitalization in Kazakhstan, and reached broad consensus.

Moving forward, Guodong Group will continue to deepen its presence in Kazakhstan and the broader Central Asian market, focusing on data centers and communication infrastructure to advance practical cooperation. The Group will actively respond to the Belt and Road Initiative, contribute to regional digital development, and lend Guodong's strength to the permanent comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Kazakhstan.
