Delegation Headed by Chairman of Kenya Chapter of China-Africa Friendship Association Visits Guodong Group

On June 11, a delegation led by Mr. Michael Munyao, Chairman of the Kenya Chapter of the Kenya-China Friendship Association, and Mr. Peter Omingo, Legal Counsel, paid a visit to Guodong Group. The visiting guests were received by Lu Jie, Chairman and CEO of Guodong Group; Lu Zhenhuan, Director and Vice President of the Group; Hu Longke, Vice President of the Group and President of Guodong International, and other senior executives.
In the morning of the same day, the two sides held a working meeting at the Group’s headquarters. Chairman Lu Jie extended a warm welcome to the delegation, and delivered a detailed introduction to the Group’s "One Body, Two Wings" business framework as well as the progress of its overseas expansion strategy. Afterwards, both sides engaged in in-depth exchanges on topics covering digital economy sectors such as communications infrastructure construction and data centers. Chairman Munyao spoke highly of Guodong Group’s leading advantages and global footprint in the communications tower industry. He stated that Kenya welcomes Guodong to actively participate in local development projects including communications infrastructure and smart cities, and expressed the expectation that bilateral cooperation will fuel new momentum for Kenya’s digital transformation.
In the afternoon, the delegation made an on-site tour of Guodong East China (Qidong) Equipment Manufacturing Base and Qidong Guodong Industrial Park, gaining an in-depth understanding of the Group’s comprehensive strengths in communications equipment manufacturing. Zhao Jinhua, Vice President of the Group and Chairman of Guodong Technology, accompanied the tour and gave detailed briefings.
This visit deepened mutual understanding and trust between the two parties, laying a solid foundation for the Group to further explore the African market. Taking this visit as a new starting point, Guodong Group will earnestly implement the Belt and Road Initiative. Relying on the interconnection of communications infrastructure as a key link, the Group will advance pragmatic China-Africa cooperation in the digital economy and fulfill its corporate responsibilities on the path of international development.
